Last week, Pastor Robbie, from Harvest Oakville, preached on persevering prayer from the book of Luke.  He started the sermon with this quote by E.M. Bounds, “Nothing distinguishes the children of God so clearly and strongly as prayer. It is the one infallible mark and test of being a Christian.” This quote alone rocked me, and the sermon had barely started!  As discussed in my previous post, the Lord has been teaching me about listening, obedience, solitude and silence, which is directly tied to prayer.  I found this sermon incredibly helpful, encouraging, and a beautiful exhortation in continue steadfast in prayer.  I must persevere in praying.  We must persevere in praying!  If you have not already heard the sermon, I have included the link below.  Also, on the topic of prayer, I also highly recommend Timothy Keller’s book entitled “Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God.”
