Today is a very special day.
It is a special day because it is the birthday of someone very near and dear to my heart. Someone whom I love more than my words can adequately express. Someone who I am so incredibly thankful for, not because of all the things they do for me, but rather, their beautiful heart in doing so. Someone who has set a wonderful example for me. Someone who loves sacrificially, consistently puts others before herself, and is always so thoughtful. She is gentle, warm, approachable, hospitable, genuine, and beautifully displays a servant’s heart. She speaks with wisdom, walks in humility, lives with integrity, and radiates His love. I love that she encourages me to seek first His kingdom, and she quickly reminds me of what is truly important in life. She prays. Her hugs are the best and the room is lit up when she smiles. She has the best sense of humour, and is always up for an adventure, even if it means being throwing her off the back of the seadoo. In this moment, my heart aches to be at home celebrating with her, but I know that she would want me to remain here, as she firmly believes God has called me here for this year.
If you have met her, I am sure you would agree with the words written above, and if you have not met her, I suggest taking some time to do so. She is pretty great.
Perhaps the only thing left to say is this: Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you, infinity.
God bless you Andrea…with love and prayers. Dianne
Hi Dianne!
Thank you for your love and many prayers…I am so grateful! I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years. 🙂
Good Morning Mis (my treasure!!)
What a lovely birthday message to wake up to. You have puffed me up too much for sure but my heart is full, thankful, blessed and excited for more times to share together when you return home. Wonderful memories of the times in the two pics you posted above. Simple times are so often the best!! (sitting on the dock with little one seeing duckies for the first time!) Many more firsts to come for William that you will enjoy.
Praying you are feeling better today and that you were able to pull up to go play volleyball as I know how thrilled you would be to play. A little bit of back home in Central Asia.
Heading north tomorrow as I remain in slow motion today and we are heading out shortly to visit Kris.
Love you infinity ….. miss you much ….. and will open your present you left for me later today. Very thoughtful of you, thank you so much! xoxoxoxxo Hugs to you!!
Good job I was slow to post as Dad just come home so I just opened the beautiful pic of my other 3 treasures on Kent Cres, Burlington. I just love that pic of them and you framed it beautifully. Thank you so much, it’s the perfect gift and I really appreciate it.
Thanks for 1 Cor. 2:9 …….. “nor the heart of man imagined” …… tells me we have no idea of what awaits us, it will be that awesome!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Andrea! All I can say is Ditto, Ditto, Ditto to the wonderful tribute you gave to your lovely Mom. She is truly a gem and one of God’s gifts to me many years ago when she welcomed me as a friend. She truly was a God send at that season of my life and I treasure her friendship altho’ our lives have changed and transitioned in different directions. While I don’t see her as often as I would like, I am grateful for her contribution to my life as a Mom and believer. I know she is missing you much, but as youi say, she is more concerned with God’s plan for you and prayerfully awaits your return. Bless you for loving your Mom and recognizing the treasure she is. Just another example of the great job she has done with her children. Love you Andrea and pray God’s blessings and strength for you. <3 Patti
I love that you also see what a treasure and gift she is 🙂 I know my Mom would also say the same things about your friendship, too. I know I personally struggle when friendships go through different seasons, as change can be difficult and I fail to see the larger plan, but it is lovely to see your perspective of thankfulness in spite of the changing seasons. I admire that!
Thank you so much for all your love and prayers…you really have been praying for years now for me! ha! Thank the Lord for the Mothers prayer group many years ago!
Andrea, what a touching tribute to your mom and its true every word!!
I did sign up to receive your posts and checked my junk folder and have not been receiving them!
signing up again:)
Hi Dianne!
I am sorry you are having troubles with receiving the notifications of new posts…that is strange! I did look for your name on the list and it indeed, it was not there! My best guess is that you need to confirm your email address once you sign up. Once you enter your email address, almost immediately you should receive an email where you are required to click on a link to confirm the subscription. Have you done this? The site does not allow me to manually enter email addresses, or else I would just do it for you! I apologize!
Thank you for following along with my posts and partnering with me in this journey! I hope you have been able to enjoy some time with little Erik over the Christmas holiday, or perhaps some time down south?
