Our small team, who travels to the Gypsy village each Monday, was invited to celebrate one of the village leaders, who had just returned from his pilgrimage to Mecca. The celebration lasts for three days, and we arrived on the Saturday, for the final day of celebration with family and friends. It was really neat recognizing the faces of his family members, as we had previously met them when we travelled to their village to celebrate Eid a few weeks back. I am encouraged relationships are beginning to form with this other Gypsy village, which is all apart of the same people group of 25,000.
This pilgrimage is of great importance and carries significant religious meaning for those who follow Islam. I do hope to write more about this at a later date, but for now, I will post a few pictures. For now, only pictures of children and some scenic shots will be posted, for various reasons. In a few short hours we will be leaving again for our regular Monday visits to their village. I cannot wait to get there!
