Romania Group PhotoI have just returned from a 9 day, short-term missions trip to Romania.  Although there are many thoughts, experiences, stories, evidences of grace, videos and pictures I look forward to sharing, there is one pressing thought that I wanted to first convey.  After seeing how intentional the team was leading up to our departure, and then each and every day while in Romania, along with many fellow saints praying for us (i.e. over 3000+ people praying in just ONE weekend service at Harvest Oakville!), the question constantly percolating in my mind is: “Why are we not as intentional about praying for the unsaved and having that same laser-beam focus of sharing the life-giving Gospel with others, in the contexts of our daily lives?”  If I truly love others, I ought to toil and strive daily, not just while on “mission trips”, to share the good news of Jesus Christ both by word and deed.

God, in His truly glorious grace, allowed the team to witness the fruit our of labour, which has produced in me a deeper desire and resolve to bring that same focus and intentionality into my daily life here in Burlington.  Having the opportunity and privilege of witnessing the harvest being reaped has shown me the incredible power of prayer, and the necessity of keeping our God-given purpose at the forefront of my life: Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples.   It is that simple.
